Job Responsibilities
- Create accurate AutoCAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instruction, and site visits.
- Work and interact with engineers and contractors to produce and alter drawings.
- Manage and organize drawings in Autodesk Vault to accurately track revision histories and reflect any applicable design changes.
- Strictly adhere to CAD Standards for consistency purposes.
- Produce complete Electrical designs and related support services for small to medium construction projects with limited supervision.
- Effectively communicate with AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and any code compliance agency during the plan review and construction phases.
- Review completed construction drawings for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate digital drawing file storage.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
- Knowledge, skill, and experience with AutoCAD and drafting standards to produce drawing packages.
· Knowledge of design of Electrical Power Distribution, and EPS (Emergency Power Supply) Systems, and Control Panels.
- Demonstrated performance in the use of one or more of Autodesk’s product line.
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) are required when dealing with both internal and external customers.
· Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop IFR, IFP, and IFC submittal packages.
- Excellent organizational skills and an extremely high level of attention to detail.
Experience Requirements
- Electrical Systems Design: 2 years (Minimum)
- Drafting: 2 years (Minimum)
- AutoCAD: 2 years (Minimum)
Education
BSEE (Preferred)
